Ombudsman met with the UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Kazakhstan

The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan Elvira Azimova met with the UN Development Programme (UNDP) Deputy Resident Representative in Kazakhstan Sukhrob Khodjimatov.

The Kazakhstani Ombudsman told about the Constitutional Law "On the Ombudsman for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan" which was signed by the Head of State and came into force on 18 November 2022.

The UNDP representative congratulated on the constitutional consolidation of the status of the national human rights institution and wished fruitful work on ensuring human rights protection tasks in the area of human rights.

At the end of the meeting agreement on joint projects for 2023 was reached.
