About the meeting of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the Chairman of the Committee of the European Parliament on Legal Issues

Brussels, March 29, 2022 – Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan Elvira Azimova has met with the Chairman of the European Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs Adrian Vazquez-Lazar.

During the meeting, the attention of the Chairman of the European Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs was drawn to the new steps of the Kazakh authorities on developing civil society, reforming the judicial system, and on the activities of law enforcement agencies. A. Vazkez-Lazer also invited E.Azimova to pay a work visit to Spain to familiarize herself with the activities of local centers in the field of human rights protection.
