The Head of State signed the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On Amendments and Additions to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan» On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan» (https://adilet.zan.kz/rus/docs/Z2100000041).
Earlier, the Parliament of Kazakhstan legally allowed citizens of the country to vote "against all" candidates in elections at all levels.
The new rules provide for significant changes in the threshold values for the passage of parties to the lower house of the House of Parliament from 7 to 5%, the introduction of the "Against all" column in the ballots, as well as direct elections of rural akims. According to the new rules, Kazakhstanis will elect new rural akims in 836 localities this year.
As part of the Address to the People of Kazakhstan last year, the Head of State announced the development of a draft law on the election of rural akims and the organization of preparatory work.
