Address by President K.Tokayev to the Constitutional Council accepted for production

The Constitutional Council adopted the appeal of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the consideration of the Law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the issues of advocacy and legal assistance" for compliance with the Constitution. This Law was adopted by the Parliament on April 8, 2021. Earlier, lawyers of Kazakhstan expressed criticism of the provisions of the Law.

Currently, the materials for the meeting of the Constitutional Council are being prepared.

In this regard, the Constitutional Council announced that human rights, scientific and other organizations and citizens specializing in these issues can send their opinions to the Constitutional Council by e-mail: gulmira@ksrk.gov.kz.
