March 3. On the eve of International Women's Day, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan Elvira Azimova took part in the expert meeting "Measures and tools for the economic empowerment of women".
This initiative is an order of the Head of State, laid down in the Roadmap for the implementation of the election program of the Nur-Otan party. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a video message to the participants of the meeting, emphasizing the importance and timeliness of the initiative.
The discussion was attended by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Suma Chakrabarti, Deputy Speaker of the Majilis Balayym Kesebayeva, Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva, Minister of National Economy Asset Irgaliyev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Serik Shapkenov, Chairman of the National Commission on Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lazzat Ramazanova, Chairman of the Board of NCE "Atameken" Ablay Myrzakhmetov, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Shakhrat Nuryshev, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund "Gauhar Buribayeva, Chairman of the Management Board of Otbasy Bank JSC Lyazzat Ibragimova, deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament and public figures.
During the meeting, a trilateral memorandum was signed between the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan, the National Commission on Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and NCE "Atameken". It was decided to open centers for the development of women's Entrepreneurship in 17 regions of the country. The projects implemented by the Damu Foundation and UN Women in Kazakhstan were also discussed.
