The Committee for technical regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of trade and integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KTRM) has taken temporary measures to ensure the uniformity of measurements related to the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Thus, the Committee decided to allow the use of standards and measuring instruments, the validity of certificates on verification/calibration of which expired during the state of emergency/quarantine.
Work is underway to optimize and automate business processes in the provision of public services in the field of ensuring the uniformity of measurements. Thus, the Ministry of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan approved 4 road maps to simplify the provision of public services:
– "Issuing a certificate of type approval of measuring instruments" and " Issuing a certificate of metrological certification of measuring instruments»;
- "Admission to the use of a standard sample of foreign production»;
- "Approval of the state standard sample»;
- "Registration in the register of the State measurement system of the Republic of Kazakhstan of measurement methods developed and certified in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States".
The road maps provide for the transition to full automation and the elimination of required documents and the reduction of time from 10 to 1 working day.
In addition, public services are provided without interruption. Since March 15, 2020, 116 certificates of type approval of measuring instruments and 129 certificates of metrological certification have been issued.
Simplified procedures for allowing medical devices that are measuring instruments into circulation have also been adopted. These procedures were adopted in order to apply in the field of state metrological control, imported as humanitarian aid, in the conditions of the pandemic, which are specified in the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 30, 2009 No. 2298.
In General, the Ministry of trade is working to take anti-crisis measures in all areas of activity.
