Today, the results of the selection of Kazakhstani companies for the program "Export accelerator" for 2020 were summed up.
97 companies applied for participation in the program (74 of them are active exporters). After evaluating the companies by international experts, 35 companies were recommended to participate in the next stages of the program.
"Among these companies there are both newcomers in the field of export (2 companies have never sold their products abroad), and companies that previously carried out one-time deliveries. And all of them are now aimed at a long-term presence in the market of a foreign country, " said Minister of trade and integration Bakhyt Sultanov, opening the first training webinar on the export acceleration program
This year, it was decided to place a bid on food industry companies that will be able to conclude export contracts with Chinese buyers based on the results of the accelerator.
"The development of such a large market as China is one of our main priorities," the Minister explained. According to him, "despite the scale of the Chinese market, access to it is limited. We are talking about the duration of the export procedure itself (about 90 days), as well as the specifics of the market. No matter how beautiful and useful the product is, it can't be sold without proper advertising and wrappers. And the task of the accelerator is to teach manufacturers to initially focus their production on foreign markets. For example, if you want to ship to China, initially produce a product that meets all the requirements of Chinese technical regulations and marketing features. We will address these and other issues as part of the project."
"Our products are deservedly in demand there because of their high quality, but for a number of reasons, we are not yet sufficiently represented on the shelves of Chinese stores. The task of the accelerator is to ensure the long-term presence of our products in the Chinese market," said Arman Abenov, General Director of The qaztrade trade policy development Center.
During the second stage (September-November), QazTrade together with international experts from Pricewaterhouse Coopers will create a detailed profile for each participant. It will reflect the analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the exporting company, determine the level of potential (competitive advantage for the export market, product, degree of readiness to export to China, etc.). the Profile of the participating company will also contain information such as the requirements of the technical regulations of the destination country for Kazakh products. Recommendations on further steps to enter the market complete the profile for participating companies.
One of the last stages of the program will be the participation of 35 companies in the 3rd World Import Exhibition in Shanghai CIIE-2020. In recent years, the exhibition has become the main global platform for concluding deals between enterprises.
According to Arman Abenov, General Director Of the center for trade policy development "QazTrade", companies that applied for participation in the Export accelerator program, but failed to qualify, will replenish the reserve of participants in the program in the next years.
In addition, according to Abenov, no enterprise will be left without assistance - as part of the current work with all companies, work will be carried out to assess their export opportunities and organize contracts for the supply of their products to foreign markets.
