"It is possible to put a ban on low-quality domestic production and low-quality services only with the help of consumers themselves. There are 18 million consumers in Kazakhstan. This is 18 million demanding quality controllers of goods and services, - said the Minister of trade and integration Bakhyt Sultanov during the reporting meeting in front of the population.
The Minister said that the latest changes to the legislation not only expanded the tools for public control of the quality of goods and services provided on the market, but also launched the creation of a full-fledged national system of consumer protection.
"We have introduced a three-stage system for reviewing complaints and are working to create a Unified information system for receiving complaints on the principle of "one window"," the Minister said. According to Sultanov, the unified information system for receiving complaints, as well as the Interdepartmental Council being created, "will allow to concentrate all consumer protection measures in one place and ensure proper control over the effectiveness of decisions taken by state agencies."
