Kazakhstan is creating a national commodity distribution system

As part of the modernization of the trade industry, a complete and effective trade and logistics infrastructure of the country is being created – the national commodity distribution system (NTS). This was announced by the Minister of trade and integration Bakhyt Sultanov during a reporting meeting with the population.

According to him, the NTS " will unite farmers, buyers, transport operators, intermediaries and retailers in a single cluster. Not only technically, but also informatively."

The Ministry of trade and integration reported that 24 wholesale and distribution centers will become the "physical" main NTS. According to Sultanov, orcs, " linked by a single digital system, will optimize the supply chain of products from the manufacturer to the consumer, create the necessary conditions for storage, effective distribution and sale of products. Reducing commodity losses will provide farmers with the opportunity to further invest in improving productivity."

"In addition, full direct access of a private manufacturer to sales markets and pre - sale trade infrastructure will significantly increase the income of both the private owner and the industry as a whole," the Minister said.

According to the calculations of the Ministry of trade, the creation of a national commodity distribution system will reduce prices for socially important food products by up to 45%. This will save about 60 billion tenge annually for Kazakhstani consumers.

It is important that the national commodity distribution system will ensure price stability and eliminate seasonal and hyped "deficit" spikes, as we saw in March-April, " said trade Minister Bakhyt Sultanov.
