During the reporting meeting in front of the population, Minister of trade and integration Bakhyt Sultanov said that the MIT negotiators managed to remove 16 barriers to trade within the EEU during the year of the Ministry's work.
The Minister also said that Kazakhstan has managed to " reduce the time for consideration of applications for signs of a barrier by the EEC to 3 months. Previously, this process could last a year."
In addition, Nur-Sultan managed to lobby for the introduction of a certificate of origin system for serial products: exporters only need to confirm the certificate once every six months. "Now Kazakh exporters, for example, of dairy products, will not have to get a certificate for each batch of export kefir. And it is enough to confirm with a certificate once every six months that the product is made in Kazakhstan, " the Minister explained.
According to the Minister, Kazakhstan's interests are reflected in the draft Strategy for the development of the Eurasian economic integration until 2025, which is currently being discussed by the countries.
