The accelerator is designed to help companies producing food products in Kazakhstan find foreign business partners and enter the Chinese market
Recall that on July 23, 2020, the Ministry of trade and integration (MTI) of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the launch of the export acceleration program. The program operator was a subordinate organization of MIT - the center for trade policy development "QazTrade". The program will be supported by PwC international experts and relevant export development institutions: Baiterek national managing holding JSC, kazakhexport Export insurance company JSC, KTZ Express JSC, qazindustry KCE JSC and Atameken chamber of Commerce.
One of the first participants in the export accelerator will be companies that produce food and organic products in Kazakhstan, as this is due to the high interest of China in the food industry in Kazakhstan. Over the past 4 years, the average annual growth rate of food supplies from Kazakhstan to China was 47%, increasing from us $ 31 million in 2015 to us $ 146 million in 2019. The choice of China as a target market is also due to its capacity - the volume of food imports as of 2019 is 54 billion dollars. US $ (average annual growth rate of 11% over the past 4 years).

How do I participate?
Due to the increased interest in the program, the recruitment of potential participants has been extended until August 7, 2020. The application can be submitted through the Export Portal of Kazakhstan - https://export.gov.kz/.
For further participation, 30-35 of the most promising Kazakh companies from the food sector will be selected, with which further work will be organized to prepare their products for export to the Chinese market.

About 300 Kazakhstani companies will get experience in entering international markets for the first time and sign their first export contracts.
