The international standard ISO 7101:2023 was published in October 2023. It is based on the content of the ISO 9001:2015 standard, but the requirements of ISO 9001 are expanded and specified in it in relation to the specifics of healthcare organizations.
Dr. B. Rana was the first person in India who, in 2003, began adapting global QMS standards to the medical field. His background includes cooperation with organizations such as WHO and the World Bank, which he helped to create modern quality management systems.
– The ISO 7101 standard acts as an assistant to physicians and the public in the proper organization of management in healthcare, – said Yerzhan Karassayev, Acting Director General of the NCA, welcoming the participants.
– We specially invited our colleague from the Indian accreditation body to explain in detail and share his experience in promoting high-quality medical services.
The accreditation of the QMS of healthcare institutions for compliance with ISO 7101:2023 helps to increase confidence in the activities of medical institutions, regardless of their specialization and forms of ownership: hospitals, dentists, primary health care centers, nursing homes, hospices, clinics and others. During the training, all aspects of the quality system in healthcare will be considered.
The seminar will last two days. As a result, participants will receive the necessary knowledge both for the implementation of the QMS according to ISO 7101 and for the accreditation of healthcare organizations according to this current scheme.
