Yerbol Shormanov left his post as a Chairman of the Board of JSC “NC “QazExpoCongress”

At an extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors of JSC “NC “QazExpoCongress”, the statement of the Chairman of the Board of the National Company Shormanov Yerbol Alimkulovich on the dismissal of his own free will was considered.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Company, Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov thanked Yerbol Shormanov for his work and noted the significant achievements in the activities of JSC “NC “QazExpoCongress”, including the implementation of the Concept for the post-exhibition use of facilities of the International Specialized Exhibition “EXPO-2017”.

1. Shormanov, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the Board of Directors for their trust and support, and also thanked the employees of the National Company for the joint work.

It should be reminded that during the preparation and exhibition of the EXPO-2017 in Nur-Sultan, Yerbol Shormanov, as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, oversaw the issues of content, business, cultural and entertainment programs, security and operational activities in general.

In January 2018, Y. Shormanov was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "NC "Astana EXPO-2017 "(renamed in February 2020 into JSC "NC "QazExpoCongress"). Under his leadership, an innovative ecosystem with a developed infrastructure was formed on the territory of the EXPO, which became the new business center of the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan. Within the framework of the Concept of post-exhibition use of EXPO heritage sites, approved by the First President – Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev, the Astana International Financial Center, the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects, the “Astana Hub” International Technopark of IT Startups, the IT University, the Business Center and other unique facilities operate on the territory of the EXPO.
