The Ministry of Trade and Integration held a meeting with business on EAEU and WTO issues

The Ministry of Trade and Integration held a regular meeting of the Public Reception Centre chaired by the Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration Janelle Kushukova.

Entrepreneurs from Kostanay, Pavlodar, North-Kazakhstan, East-Kazakhstan and Abay regions took part in the meeting. The main purpose of such meetings is to reduce barriers in the external and internal market together with NPP «Atameken» and representatives of akimats. During the meeting the issues of export of products to the Russian Federation, Tajikistan and the European Union, as well as transit through the territory of Azerbaijan were discussed. Entrepreneurs also voiced proposals for amendments to the Code of Republic of Kazakhstan «On Customs Regulation in the Republic of Kazakhstan», cancellation of marking on jewellery for exhibition activities and other issues.

Janelle Kushukova and representatives of state authorities gave explanations on the application of the EU General System of Preferences, introduction of jewellery marking and traceability, inclusion in the register of owners of temporary storage warehouses and others.

The voiced questions are taken under control and will be brought to the appropriate platforms for resolution. Recall that the Public Chamber was established by the Ministry of Trade and Integration in 2020 to broadly inform the business community of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the ongoing work within the EAEU and the WTO, to receive feedback from business and solve problematic business issues in the framework of trade and economic cooperation with third countries.
