Today 5 Halal standards are being introduced in Kazakhstan

Starting from July 1, 2020, a number of new national standards are being introduced. The accepted standards in the field of Halal have a batch principle of application, so the production of Halal products must be guided by the requirements of these standards at the same time.

 

STRK 3483-2019 "Products are Halal. Fundamentals"
This standard sets out the main provisions for Halal products and the processes of their production, storage, transportation and labeling, as well as clearly defines which products are Halal and which are not, i.e. prohibited.

ST RK 3453-2019 "Products are Halal. Organizations engaged in the slaughter of farm animals and birds"

This is a standard for organizations engaged in the slaughter of farm animals and birds for the production of Halal food products. Slaughtering must meet the requirements established by legislation in the field of veterinary medicine, and slaughtering sites must be intended only for Halal animals and Halal slaughter.

 

STRK 3485-2019 "Products are Halal. The procedure of confirmation of compliance"
Confirmation of conformity of Halal products is a procedure that results in a documentary confirmation of the object's compliance with the requirements established by the documents on standardization of Halal products. This document is a certificate of conformity of Halal products registered in the register of issued certificates.

 

ST RK 3484-2019 "national mark of conformity of Halal products. Technical requirements and marking procedure".
The standard specifies the requirements for the shape, size and technical requirements for the National Halal product conformity mark, as well as the procedure for marking Halal products.

Halal product conformity mark - a designation that serves to inform customers about the passage of products or services of the procedure for confirming compliance with the requirements established by the documents on standardization of Halal products.

ST RK 3454-2019 " public catering services Halal. General requirements".
Food service establishments of all forms of ownership, of various types and classes-restaurant, bar, cafe, canteen, snack bar, fast food businesses, buffet, cafeteria, coffee shop, cooking shop, operating in the field of public catering Halal, must meet the requirements of this standard.
