Agents for the sale of tickets did not take part in the process of the claim to Bekar

Today, the Turksib district court of Almaty held a regular trial on the case of refund of the cost of tickets to consumers of canceled flights of the airline "Bek air" JSC.

As previously reported, the airline was sued by the consumer protection Committee (CPPC).

At the beginning of the process, the representative of the defendant requested to postpone the case until the end of the criminal investigation into the crash of the aircraft of JSC "Bek air" in December 2019. KZPP this petition was not supported, the court refused to satisfy.

In order to establish the exact cost of air tickets on the basis of the request of the KZPP, the court engaged as third parties agents for the sale of air tickets: Aviata, Chocotravel, Santufei, Probilet, Tickets, Transavia, Travel express, Biletix, the travel company "Travel Lux", the air Agency "Otrar Travel". However, representatives of these organizations did not show up for today's trial.

Please note that the KZPP previously requested the court to request evidence confirming the payment of 300 million tenge to consumers for unused tickets, as stated by the defendant. But a representative of the airline has not yet provided confirmation.
In addition, the KZPP requested the court to request information about the amount of tickets sold, which is available to the defendant. The court sent a corresponding request, but the Respondent did not provide this data either.

At the request of the KZPP, the court will send a request to the ticket sales agents to provide the cost of the air ticket to JSC "Bek air" without Commission fees and other services of the agents.

To date, the KZPP represents the interests of 729 applicants who purchased 1364 tickets for the amount of 47.8 million tenge.
