A number of agreements signed by Kazakhstan and Russia at the Interregional Cooperation Forum

Within the Forum of interregional cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia, which is held in Kostanay region, 9 interregional and commercial agreements totalling $83 million were signed.

Thus, agreements were reached on intentions to implement a number of joint projects. Including the project on construction of a plant for the production of bakery products of long storage on the territory of the special economic zone «Qyzyljar», the project for the production of lifting equipment in the North-Kazakhstan region, the production of equipment for industrial cooling of milk in the Kostanay region. Corresponding memorandums and agreements were signed by the heads of enterprises of the two countries.

Also, Pavlodar and Omsk, Mangistau and Astrakhan, West Kazakhstan and Orenburg, Kostanay and Orenburg regions signed important interregional documents that open up opportunities for international and foreign economic relations in trade and economic, scientific and technical, environmental, cultural, humanitarian and other areas.

In addition, a memorandum of co-operation was signed between the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kostanay region and the Union «Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Orenburg region» and an agreement on co-operation in the field of application and cultivation of forest planting material between the State Institution «Department of Natural Resources and Regulation of Nature Management of Akmola region» and «Epoch of Revival» LLC.

The Forum is a traditional one, and this year it is held under the aegis of «Agriculture - the basis of a strong economy».
