The Eurasian Economic Commission, together with its member states, has prepared a report on analysing the geography of possible Eurasian tourist routes and identifying possible problems in the use of such routes by tourists from different countries.
The report includes information on the legislation of the «five», countries affecting tourism services, the dynamics of tourism development in the EAEU countries, key regions for tourism development and major tourist attractions, and much more.
The EAEU countries have identified primary objects of tourist interest that can become reference points of joint Eurasian tourist routes for their further formation.
In the future, the EAEU countries envisage the development of maps of joint Eurasian tourist routes in the form of a recommendation of the EEC Collegium. There are plans to adopt recommendations on Eurasian quality standards for the provision of tourist services (on a cross-border basis).
It is expected that the work carried out within the EAEU will have a multiplicative economic effect for businesses related to the tourism industry and labour market. Since the availability of conditions for the free movement of citizens of the member states across the territories of the EAEU countries, as well as rich historical, cultural and natural heritage provides a stable interest in domestic tourism in our country.
The report is planned to be approved during the meeting of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission in November this year.
