For domestic consumers, this event serves as a basis for trust in the certificates of the domestic Halal assessment entity, and for organizations that receive certificates from an accredited organization, it opens up additional opportunities for exporting their products and services.
According to the information of the National Accreditation Center of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on October 16, 2023, the «Halal Quality Center» LLP, Almaty, was accredited for compliance with the requirements of the ST RK OIC/SMIIC 2-2022 «Conformity Assessment. Requirements for Halal certification bodies».
Halal accreditation is one of the new directions in the quality assessment system in Kazakhstan. The positive effect of accredited Halal certification extends to the end user, who is assured that there is a whole system of conformity assessment behind the Halal certificate: accreditation increases the credibility of certification bodies. In turn, the certification bodies transmit the high requirements of the standards they follow to the manufacturers of Halal products. Manufacturers, through certification, provide consumers with products or services that are manufactured in compliance with standards.
Therefore, the first accreditation of the certifying body is an absolute achievement of the Halal industry in Kazakhstan.
