Kazakhstan exporters will present their products at the international import exhibition in Shanghai

25 food exporting companies from Kazakhstan will take part in the upcoming 6th China International Import Expo in Shanghai. This year, domestic producers will present more than 30 items of food and agricultural products at the stand in the «Food and Agricultural Industry» sector.

China International Import Expo (China International Import Expo) will be held from November 5 to 10 in Shanghai, China. The selection of Kazakhstani export-oriented enterprises was conducted by the operator of state support measures QazTrade in coordination with the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Registration for participation in the Exhibition was open from July 10 to July 27, 2023. Information about the opening of registration was sent to local executive bodies, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the RK «Atameken» (including territorial division), «KazakhExport» JSC, as well as posted in telegram-channels.

The selection of applicants was made among companies that had time to apply in accordance with certain requirements.

«Thus, the company must be registered as a business entity in the territory of Kazakhstan, its product or service must be in demand in the Chinese market. At the same time, it is necessary that the quality of products or services must necessarily meet the requirements of safety standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international standards», - reported in QazTrade.

Other criteria should also include the absence of the company's arrears of taxes, fees and other obligatory payments in accordance with the current legislation.

«It is also important to have an official company website or a page in social networks, with high-quality content - photo and video description of the product, presentation, product catalog in English, among other things. We even pay attention to the fact that the company has a separate staff member with a good level of English. This is important for business correspondence and negotiations with foreign partners», - QazTrade noted.

Entrepreneurs are required to be accredited by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China in order to participate in events in China. Goods subject to veterinary and phytosanitary control are particularly scrutinized. This is due to the national legislation of China, which regulates that all enterprises producing and storing food products, including beverages, must be registered and entered into the Chinese CIFER registration system.

Kazakhstan has been participating in the China EXPO since its launch in 2018. In five years, 133 Kazakhstani companies have been able to demonstrate their goods and services to the Chinese buyer, as well as conclude export contracts worth more than 260 million dollars.
