Applied zero customs duties on the export of alloys in aluminium-scandium

From 27 April 2020, in accordance with the Order of the Minister of trade and integration of the RK № 76-N from 10 April 2020 will apply zero tariffs on exports of alloys aluminum-scandium.

This decision was made at the request of MAST LLP, the only manufacturer of high-tech aluminum master alloys in Kazakhstan: aluminum-scandium ligatures (2-5% wt. Sc). The products are export-oriented and are mainly used in the aerospace industry.

Reducing the ETP rate from 12% to 0% will provide an opportunity to expand production with an increase in output from 35 tons per year to 120 tons per year, as well as exports to third countries.

Currently, "MAST" LLP provides up to 50 jobs in the region of the industrial zone of Stepnogorsk, and in the absence of restraining factors of development, it is ready to provide employment for up to 200 people.

"Taking into account the priority of supporting export-oriented goods, we have established zero export customs duties," Minister of trade and integration of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov explained.
