World Accreditation Day – a look into the future
Today, June 9, is the World Accreditation Day, which this year is held under the motto «Support for the future of world trade». The National Accreditation Center of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan is convinced that accreditation is the future of not only the trade direction, but also global prospects. Therefore, this day in the NAC was declared an Open Day for the children and grandchildren of employees.
The special symbolism of the holiday was given by the fact that recently the assessment of the Asia-Pacific Cooperation on accreditation was completed in the NAC, thanks to which the NAC is a full member of the international accreditation organizations ILAC and IAF, which, in turn, allows the entities accredited by the NAC to issue certificates that are mutually recognized on the international market.
The festive event combined creative, career-oriented and family-strengthening content.
On the eve of the holiday, a drawing and essay contest was announced among the children and grandchildren of NAC employees, through which the children had to answer the question: what do you think accreditation is? Ready–made answers from the Internet were not accepted - in an accessible form, in the process of family communication, their relatives, employees of the NAC had to explain to the children about the mission and tasks of accreditation.
Several dozen drawings and essays were submitted to the competition. The guys had to work hard both creatively and intellectually, because it is very difficult to translate the concept of accreditation into concrete words and images.
After viewing the stand with drawings and a festive photo shoot, the children had the opportunity to go to the workrooms of their parents, grandparents. The employees showed their workplaces, told what their work duties are, how working days go, about the peculiarities of the professions of an appraiser, analyst, manager and other specialists of the NCA.
In the Majilis hall of the company, the guys were welcomed by the General Director of the NCA Talgat Momyshev.
«I am glad that today you, their children and grandchildren visited our office, the workplaces of your loved ones – our future, our hope», – the head said.– Probably, at home you often have to hear this word – accreditation. It comes from the Latin word accredo – «trust». Accredited companies can be trusted. Their services and products are high–quality, safe, we can say that they are the best in Kazakhstan and in the world», T.A. Momyshev noted and urged the guys to further deepen their knowledge about accreditation, and in the future, perhaps, to continue the professional path of their loved ones.
After the award ceremony for the best employees for children and adults, a video was premiered on the results of the assessment of the activities of the NAC by the Asia-Pacific Commonwealth on accreditation, held recently, from May 27 to June 2, from which children learned that accreditation is practiced all over the world and Kazakhstan occupies a worthy place among the states supporting this trend.
