Showroom of Kazakhstani goods opened in Xi'an

A presentation of a permanent showroom of Kazakh products was held in the Chinese city of Xi'an on May 19. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The initiators of the project were the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Xi'an together with JSC «QazTrade» with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin, this is the first such project in the diplomatic mission of Kazakhstan abroad. The showroom is designed to become a unique trading platform in the Chinese market with a wide range of Kazakh export products.

Domestic food products are in great demand among Chinese buyers. A permanent showroom will allow interested Chinese companies to get an idea of the quality of products and commodity producers of Kazakhstan on the spot.

Today, the showroom presents products from about 30 Kazakhstani companies. These are mainly fat-and-oil and wine-vodka products, flour and confectionery products, juices, honey, pasta and others. In the future, the range of products presented will be expanded.

The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan through a single operator QazTrade provides service support measures to Kazakhstani export-oriented enterprises. Thanks to government programs, companies develop priority markets, find trading partners and conclude export contracts.
