At the National Accreditation Center, a meeting was held with representatives of Halal Damu LLP - Director Aibek Askarbekuly Atashev and Chief technology expert Zhanar Muratkyzy Saporova

The meeting was chaired by Absamat Akimov, Deputy Director General of the NCA, and Yerzhan Karasayev, Deputy Director General, with the participation of Almat Oringaliuli, Head of the Methodology and Rationing Department, and Dastan Moldybayev, Chief Specialist of the Methodology and Rationing Department.

Issues of Halal infrastructure development were discussed at the meeting. It was noted that the development of Halal infrastructure in Kazakhstan in terms of accredited certification and adherence to Islamic values is an urgent topic and requires decisive and urgent action in connection with the growing demand of consumers for bona fide certification and quality assurance and safety of Halal products and services.

The participants considered issues that will help build a transparent Halal conformity assessment system in Kazakhstan, provide high-quality training for specialists of industries and organizations providing Halal services and Halal product evaluation bodies.

The issues of certification of certain types of specialties were also discussed.

The main topic of discussion was the organizational structure of the national Halal conformity assessment system in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which should define a clear role of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan as the main and only center representing the training of Halal production specialists according to Sharia requirements, and, of course, become a base for informing the population about the value of Halal.

Following the meeting, the participants exchanged proposals and assured each other of their readiness to continue cooperation in order to build a transparent sphere of Halal conformity assessment.
