In the work plan, the participants outlined issues in five areas related to domestic and foreign trade, integration, technical regulation and consumer protection.
The members of the council took an active part in the discussion of these issues and came to a unanimous decision on the approval of the work plan for 2023, and also proposed issues for discussion at the next meeting.
The composition of the Presidium of the Council was also determined, which included: First Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration A.A. Shakkaliev, Chairman of the Public Council R.M. Shaekin, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Union of Manufacturing Industry A.A. Bektibayev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Union of Trade Networks of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abdiev E.N., President of the Institute "Bastama" Zhakipbekov T.A.
According to the agenda of the meeting, a number of issues were raised and discussed. Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Union of Manufacturing Industry Adilbek Bektibayev raised the issue of the status of Kazakhstani goods and the measures of state support provided in their production. The approaches proposed by him to recognize goods as "Kazakhstani" and issue documents on them about the country of origin of goods will allow them to receive "export" certificates in a one-day period without providing additional documents, which will favorably affect the foreign economic activity of the business.
The next meeting of the Public Council is scheduled for the second decade of April this year.
