North Kazakhstan Region is ready to reach 100% availability of poultry meat of its own production

The results of the activities of agricultural enterprises opened over the past two years in the North Kazakhstan region within the framework of a pilot project on concessional lending through the SEC were presented to Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin at a meeting with agricultural producers in the village of Leninsky, Akkayinsky district of the North Kazakhstan region.

First: 100% import substitution for poultry meat. According to the akimat of the region, thanks to the poultry farms opened in the North Kazakhstan Region over the past two years, today the region has everything necessary for 100% import substitution of poultry meat, after the enterprises reach full capacity. For example, the poultry farm "Northern Broiler" with a production capacity of 5 thousand tons of meat, will provide up to 50% of the poultry meat needs in the region. In addition, this is the first major investment project in the rural district, which provides jobs for about 170 people, of which 90% are local people.

Second: profitability. The estimated profitability of agricultural enterprises allows timely repayment of borrowed money. The mechanism of lending through the SEC ensures timely repayment of funds and the most convenient conditions for project initiators, sparing collateral conditions (purchased equipment and purchased cattle are accepted as collateral).

Third: fast implementation. The full implementation of most projects takes 1.5-2 years. In 2021-2022, 35 major projects were implemented in 7 areas. Today, all districts of North Kazakhstan region are covered by the construction of dairy complexes.

Fourth: the synergistic effect. Attracting local contractors to the construction, purchasing materials from domestic suppliers, increasing the area of cultivated fodder crops and the volume of raw materials produced for processing, purchasing modern equipment, creating new jobs, reviving villages, building social facilities.

Fifth: the result. From the implementation of projects over the past 2 years, milk production in organized farms has increased by 17.5%, or by 35.3 thousand tons (from 201.8 to 237.1 thousand tons). Today, the region is a leader in the production of ready–made dairy products (total production in Kazakhstan is 819 thousand tons, of which 188.4 thousand tons (23%).

Sixth: social responsibility of business. In 2021, Ademi Astyk LLP built a dairy complex for 600 heads in the newly revived village of Krasnoe in the Ayyrtau district. The company has become a backbone, the investor builds houses for his employees, carries out work on the improvement of the village. Before the construction of the farm, there was only one house in the village, now there are 30.

Our task is to completely close the country's demand for milk, poultry meat and vegetables of our own production, - Serik Zhumangarin addressed the farmers at the meeting. – And today, the highest competencies in this are with the North Kazakhstan Region. The region initiated the implementation of a large-scale project to provide preferential financing to agricultural producers, we see the effect of public investment. We plan to scale this project in other regions where a strong feed and production base has already been created, these are the necessary conditions for the speedy implementation of the project and the rapid start of returns. We will support irrigation projects. We invite you to participate and are ready to support as much as possible everyone who has such opportunities and the desire to expand. In addition, today we are already working with retail chains to provide manufacturers with the best conditions for the sale of products.

As part of a two-day working trip to the North Kazakhstan Region on January 13-14, 2022, the Deputy Prime Minister visited several districts of the region, where he got acquainted with the activities of the Tayynshin veterinary Laboratory, enterprises participating in the pilot project on preferential lending through the SEC "Saltustik" - dairy farms "Zenchenko and K", "Kyzylzhar Day", starch production plant BioOperations, greenhouses, vegetable storages and a paper production plant of Raduga LLP, an expansion complex of the EMC Agro pig farm under construction, social facilities in the village of Novonikolsky, built by Zenchenko and K. The Deputy Prime Minister plans to visit enterprises of other agricultural regions in the near future to meet with producers.
