The Agreement defines the procedure and conditions for the removal of technical barriers in the mutual trade of the member states with third countries in respect of products subject to the technical regulations of the EurAsEC.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, the agreement provides for clear mechanisms and conditions aimed at removing technical barriers both with third countries and with integration associations. First of all, it is the comparability of mandatory requirements, the equivalence of accreditation and conformity assessment procedures.
"The agreement is aimed at promoting domestic products and makes it possible on a parity basis to conclude agreements with specific countries on mutual recognition of product test results," S. Zhumangarin said.
It should be noted that the Agreement initially takes into account all the requirements of the current legislation, and therefore, its ratification will not entail changes to the Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
