Vice Minister Kairat Torebayev met with WEF representative Alex Roth

Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev met with Alex Roth, Head of the Program for Central Asian Countries, the Center for Regional and Global Cooperation of the World Economic Forum.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the development of Kazakhstan's trade potential and prospects for entering new international markets.   

Alex Roth spoke about the activities of the WEF Working Group, which he leads, and shared the preliminary agenda of the next World Economic Forum in Davos, scheduled for January 2023. The WEF representative was also interested in the relevance of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route for Kazakhstan.

In turn, Kairat Torebayev noted the importance of this direction and informed about the work carried out by the state to diversify trade routes and realize the transit opportunities of our country.

Following the meeting, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed readiness to exchange views on cooperation issues within the framework of the upcoming forum in 2023.
