A business mission in support of exporters of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation was held in Astana

Today, on November 22, 2022, a business mission of the Russian Federation in the field of industrial equipment in Kazakhstan, organized by JSC "Russian Export Center" (REC), took place in Astana.

The purpose of the business mission is to provide a platform for business partners between Russian manufacturers and companies from Kazakhstan interested in working together and mutual supplies of goods and services.

The event was also attended by Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan Andrey Babko, as well as Head of the REC Representative Office Oleg Pechenkin.

At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of entering the market, doing business and regulating foreign trade activities in Kazakhstan for Russian exporters, as well as plans of the Ministry of Trade and Integration for the coming year for extensive investment attraction of export-oriented companies.

As noted by Kairat Torebayev, at present the Ministry has formed a full-fledged eco–system of support for exporters - it is more than 20 different financial and non-financial support instruments.

- So, the Ministry has an organization KazakhExport, which we plan to transform into an export credit agency from next year. Also under our leadership there is JSC "Center for Trade Policy "QazTrade", which is engaged in supporting non-financial exporters. Our task is to create comfortable conditions for enterprises outside the Republic of Kazakhstan," the Vice Minister said.

In addition, Kairat Torebayev also reported on the activities of the special economic zone ICBC Khorgos, which gives access to 80 million Xinjiang market and border areas. Similar centers are being created by China, Uzbekistan, on the Caspian Sea and also on the border territory with the Russian Federation.

The mission participants expressed their readiness to continue developing long-term partnership and implement joint projects to further strengthen trade and economic ties between our countries.
