Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin spoke at the Forum of Strategic Initiatives-2022 on November 16 this year.
At this site, he presented the prospects for the development of agriculture, trade, logistics.
"The trends that determine our reforms are deglobalization. Plus, the energy and food crisis is superimposed. We are carrying out forced reforms, first of all, in agriculture. Using the example of dairy products, I note that it is necessary to put statistics in order, guarantee subsidies, and create behavioral conditions. We need to identify farms that have a fodder base for the development of dairy farming, commercial animal husbandry, and to which we will give "cheap" money. We will also work in the production of red meat, poultry, and other agricultural products. This, I repeat, is a forced reform, it assumes a strict focus of public funds to get results. Because everything happens as a result of external market compression, when we started importing inflation, which affects the social well—being of citizens," Serik Zhumangarin said.
The Deputy Prime Minister also stated the need for compliance with agronomic indicators by all farms as an unconditional behavioral condition for receiving state support.
Separately, Serik Zhumangarin focused on changing the export logistics of goods supplies, which in the near future will inevitably lead to the fact that it will be necessary to revise the depth of the redistribution of agricultural products. On the example of grain, which is difficult to deliver to the markets of East Africa, but its processed products in the form of flour and pasta are quite.
The Deputy Prime Minister cited research data, according to which trade currently totals 18.3% in the structure of Kazakhstan's GDP. At the same time, 63% of the world's population are people younger than 40 years old, who prefer 85% of purchases to make online and 40% of purchases to make through a mobile phone.
"This may lead to the fact that trade will gradually move to digital format, and traditional stores will leave. First it will be a store, then a warehouse store, then a bonded warehouse store, or even a fulfillment center. The state policy will be aimed at supporting the development of a modern format of trade, category "A" shopping centers," he stressed.
