Today in Astana, the heads of the Ministries of Trade and Integration, Agriculture, the Union of Poultry Farmers of Kazakhstan, the Association of Egg Producers, the Union of Retail chains and Poultry farms discussed the stabilization of prices for chicken eggs.
According to the Association of Egg Producers, for 9 months of 2022, poultry farms of the Republic of Kazakhstan produced 2 billion 790 thousand eggs. This is more than in 9 months of 2021, by 7.8%. At the same time, in September 2022 alone, poultry farms produced 305.4 million units, or 3% more than in September 2021. Thus, in Kazakhstan, the production of chicken eggs is growing, this amount is enough to meet the domestic needs of the population.
Also, on the part of producers, it was noted that the demand for eggs is seasonal, in autumn there is an annual increase in prices, compared with summer. But in early November, prices have already stabilized and no further increase is expected.
For the development of egg poultry farming, the Ministry of Agriculture (Ministry of Agriculture) subsidizes the purchase of daily chickens in the amount of 60 tenge per head. Additions have been made to the Subsidy Rules, according to which support has been restored to reduce the cost of eggs by a standard of 3 tenge per piece, for the actual production of 5 million pieces per year.
7.5 billion tenge was allocated for subsidizing food eggs this year.
As part of the measures of state support for the subjects of poultry organizations, a memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture, industry associations, the Union of Poultry Farmers of Kazakhstan, JSC NC "Food Corporation", according to which the Food Corporation sells grain to livestock and poultry farms in the amount of 150,000 tons at a price of 117.0 thousand tenge per ton, including VAT (30% below market).
Within the framework of the memorandum, the Food Corporation sold 149.2 thousand tons of feed grain to livestock and poultry farms, of which 128.0 thousand tons were sold to poultry farms.
