Arman Shakkaliyev met with the public of Pavlodar region

First Vice - Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliyev met with the public and business community of the region at the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Pavlodar region.

Arman Shakkaliyev spoke about the measures taken by the government of the country for social support of citizens, stabilization of prices for basic foodstuffs.

"In order to ensure the affordability of socially important food products, we are discussing with the producers of goods the issues of necessary assistance. We should direct money to something that will stimulate the growth and development of productivity among agricultural producers. The financing mechanism has been reformatted according to the "revolving scheme", which means that state support will be allocated directly to producers. Recently, two ministries – trade and Integration and Agriculture, SEC "Pavlodar" and sugar factories signed a memorandum on the stabilization of sugar prices. Now we are working out the issue of cooperation with domestic potato producers," the First Vice Minister stressed at a meeting with the population.

Also during the trip, Arman Shakkaliyev got acquainted with the activities of potato storage facilities of peasant farms: "Andas", "Sharov", "Shcherbak".

Pavlodar region is one of the main producers of potatoes and carrots. In total, 317 thousand tons of potatoes were laid in the vegetable storages of the region for the winter with the annual demand of the region of 50 thousand tons and 120 thousand tons of carrots with the need of 11.4 thousand tons.
