More than 60 memoranda have been signed in Kazakhstan with retail chains on reducing trade surcharges

In Kazakhstan, local executive bodies conclude memoranda with large retail chains on reducing the trade premium to 10%, as of October 14 of this year, more than 60 memoranda have already been concluded in the regions, the press service of the Trade Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan sauda_komiteti reports.

According to Yerzhan Kazanbayev, Chairman of the Trade Committee of the MTI of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the signing of memoranda is an important stage in price formation, the trade premium is now 15% reduced to 10% within the framework of the memorandum, this will allow large retail chains in Kazakhstan to reduce prices for socially important food.

Last week, regions such as Shymkent, Almaty, Kostanay, Aktobe, Atyrau, Abai, Turkestan regions, East Kazakhstan Region, West Kazakhstan Region, signed memoranda with large retail chains such as «Magnum», «Small», «Anvar», «Astykzhan», etc. This week the memorandum was signed in Astana, Pavlodar, Zhambyl region and North Kazakhstan region.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin held a conference call on ensuring food security and restraining prices for socially important food products, where the issue of the need to conclude memoranda on compliance with the trade margin on socially important products of no more than 10% was considered.

It should be noted that in the Committee of Trade of the MTI of Kazakhstan, in order to increase the reliability of the analysis of data on the dynamics of price growth for basic foodstuffs, public control is working: a call center has been created to receive complaints from residents about inflated prices for products included in the list of Socially significant food products. Instagram Facebook, sauda_komiteti and sauda_inform social media accounts of MTI are also accepted for complaints.
