Kazakh producers will be able to export their products to the countries of the European Union

Gosstandart TRMC MTI RK and the Czech Metrological Institute signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of metrology.

This agreement will allow Gosstandart to assist Kazakhstani enterprises in obtaining CE marking for further export to the European Union and will increase the competitiveness of domestic products.

CE marking is a special mark applied to the product, which certifies that the product complies with the basic requirements of the EU directives and the harmonized standards of the European Union, as well as that the product has passed the procedure for assessing compliance with the directives.

The CE marking covers such types of products as electrical equipment, children's toys, construction products and materials, personal protective equipment, non-automatic weighing devices, hot water boilers, medical equipment, radio communications and telecommunication terminal equipment.

In addition, an agreement was reached on the following issues:

- preparation for the recognition of Gosstandart test protocols (training of experts, creation of a contact center);

- confirmation of conformity of Kazakh products for import into the European Union and CE marking;

- export and establishment of requirements for mutually supplied products of the two countries;

- assessment of metrological infrastructure in the Central Asian region;

- mutual assistance on the EURAMET platform;

- comparisons of national certified reference samples;

- implementation of joint research projects (EMS).
