Serik Zhumangarin held an online reception of citizens

Today, on September 30 of this year, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin held an online reception of citizens.

During the reception, topical issues of mandatory digital labeling of footwear products in the Republic of Kazakhstan, stabilization of prices for socially important food products and consumer protection were considered.

Labeling issues were raised by a group of entrepreneurs on behalf of importers and retail sellers of footwear products.

Digital labeling and traceability of goods as a tool to combat the shadow market started in Kazakhstan in 2018. So, as of today, mandatory labeling has been introduced for 4 commodity groups: fur and tobacco products, shoes, medicines.

Pilot projects on labeling packaged water, sugar-containing beverages and jewelry are being implemented.

Business representatives are asked to take into account their position and proposals when further considering issues of mandatory labeling by government agencies.

After listening to business representatives, Serik Zhumangarin proposed to consider in more detail the issues of labeling shoe products at the upcoming meeting in the Government, including the need to ensure mutual recognition of labeling codes with the EAEU member states.

The head of the department gave detailed answers to all appeals, taking them under personal control. At the same time, relevant instructions were given to the responsible persons.
