On September 9, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin visited regional enterprises engaged in the food industry as part of a working trip to Zhambyl region, and also discussed agricultural production issues with farmers.
The enterprise for the production of chicken meat SEC "ECO-CHICKEN", which manages 12 farms with 20 thousand heads of poultry, produces 200-210 tons of chicken meat per year. All this is provided by 12 people. Today, the company has developed a project for the construction of mini-poultry farms with subsequent consolidation into a cooperative. Each mini-farm is designed for 1600 broilers and allows you to get a net profit of 3.8 million tenge per year.
This year, Zhambyl region, where three quarters of Kazakhstan's onions are grown, expects a good harvest of this crop. The farm "Samgau" plans to harvest 4,500 tons of onions this year, which is half a ton more than last year. The agricultural land area of the farm is over 470 hectares. There are also 12 people employed here. They came to a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister to learn about the Government's work on price stabilization and identify problematic issues.
Serik Zhumangarin spoke at the meeting about the new approaches that the Government is currently implementing to support agricultural producers. Within the framework of the available working capital, financing schemes for producers of the main socially significant food products — waxes, dairy products, rice, flour, social bread, eggs, buckwheat, salt, beef, chicken meat, sunflower oil and sugar are being reviewed.
"Our new approach is to work directly with manufacturers," Serik Zhumangarin said.
The head of the farm "Samgau" Evgeny Trubnikov said that the main problem of price stabilization for their products is the lack of working capital.
Minister of Trade and Integration S. Zhumangarin suggested considering the possibility of supplying products to the western region of Kazakhstan for storage in vegetable storages and marketing to markets.
"We are ready to help develop a supply chain for onions to the western region of Kazakhstan and allocate working capital so that you can store and sell onions in these areas in late winter and spring. For your part, you should stabilize the price so that it is lower in the off—season, without a sharp increase," the Deputy Prime Minister suggested.
The Trade Committee of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan will work on this issue.
Residents of the region at the meeting also asked other questions concerning low prices for milk collection from large producers, high prices for spare parts and others.
Serik Zhumangarin also visited the Greenwill greenhouse, specializing in growing greenery and breeding fish. A unique technology borrowed from South Korea allows you to grow an organic product, greens, for which fish waste is a fertilizer. The trip ended with an acquaintance with the activities of the enterprise "Pervomaisky Delicacies" LLP, engaged in the production and processing of meat products and providing work for over 20 people.
