About the implementation of the "Social Wallet" project

Currently, the Government, in pursuance of the instructions of the Head of State, is implementing a project to introduce a citizen's "Social Wallet".

The aim of the project is to create a digital payment instrument aimed at simplifying the procedure for citizens to receive social payments and their use on the basis of the instant payment system (SMP) of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The legal basis for the introduction of the social wallet has been approved and the technical launch of the pilot project of the "social wallet" in Nur-Sultan has been carried out.

It is noted that today preparatory work is being carried out to launch the piloting of the project with the transfer to the "Social Wallet" of benefits for the birth of a child, benefits for caring for a child until they reach the age of 1 year and targeted social assistance.

Also, as part of the implementation of the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a pilot for the voucher of free and preferential hot meals in secondary schools in Nur-Sultan will be launched this year together with the Ministry of Education, Akimat of Nur-Sultan, and together with the Ministry of Health, it is planned to launch a pilot for medicines under the OSMS and GOBMP according to the recommendation (prescription) a doctor.

The integration of the "Digital Family Card" and the "Social Wallet" is being carried out jointly with the MTSZN. Integration of these systems will allow in the future to identify families in dire need
in social assistance and timely provide them with measures of state support in a proactive format.

In addition, the following services have been connected and published on the Smart Bridge platform in order to integrate the "Social Wallet" with the "electronic government" web portal for the possibility of choosing a social wallet when receiving birth and child care benefits for up to a year and targeted social assistance.
