The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting with representatives of the Public Catering Association, during which issues of providing business entities with the necessary amount of sugar were discussed.
The meeting was attended by Vice Minister of Agriculture Zhenis Oserbai, Chairman of the MIT Trade Committee Yerzhan Kazanbayev, as well as Adviser to the Chairman of the Catering Association Veronika Nurpeisova and representatives of the Akimat of Nur-Sultan.
Recall that on the eve of the Association announced the possible bankruptcy of public catering enterprises due to difficulties with providing sugar.
So, based on the results of the discussions, it was decided to additionally support small and medium-sized businesses and cover the needs of catering facilities in industrial sugar.
During today, the volumes of sugar demand for catering facilities will be determined in order to organize supplies as a priority.
At the first stage, more than a thousand tons of sugar will be shipped to the three most populated regions.
"The Ministry of Agriculture will send an additional volume to the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent, where representatives of small businesses will be able to take the necessary amount of sugar. The Association will also present lists and calculations of needs for other cities. At the same time, the Association and akimats will develop an algorithm for providing this sugar," Vice Minister of Agriculture Zhenis Oserbai said after the meeting.
