Bakhyt Sultanov and Arzybek Kozhoshev launched the ITLK "Alatau"

project Within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Bishkek, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov and First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Arzybek Kozhoshev took part in the ceremony of laying a capsule at the construction site of the ITLK "Alatau" in the area of settlements Karasu and Ak-Tilek passes.
According to the parties, the creation of the ITLC will have a positive impact on the further development of bilateral trade and economic relations, will activate business ties between manufacturers and entrepreneurs of the two countries. It will also stimulate an increase in mutual trade turnover between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
Also during the official visit, a Memorandum was signed on attracting investments in the infrastructure of the ITLC "Alatau".
It should be noted that the concept of creation and functioning of joint ITLCS was prepared in accordance with the instructions of the Heads of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic, following the results of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.Tokayev to the Kyrgyz Republic on November 27, 2019 and the 5th meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
For reference: The Kyrgyz Republic is one of the key trade and economic partners of Kazakhstan in the Central Asian region. The trade turnover between the countries in January-March 2022 amounted to $206.3 million, which is 2.9% higher than in the same period of the previous year ($200.6 million). Exports from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan in January-March 2022 decreased by 14.1% and amounted to $122.2 million. Imports to Kazakhstan from Kyrgyzstan in January-March 2022 increased by 44.2% and amounted to $84.1 million. By the end of 2021, the trade turnover amounted to about $ 1 billion. The task is to increase it to $2 billion.
