Cross-industry expert community unites to maximize the success of exporters in foreign markets

On December 24, 2019, a working meeting of heads and experts of the National standardization body of Kazakhstan (Kazinst) and JSC "center for development of trade policy" QazTrade "was held at the site "QazTrade".
At the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of mutual cooperation in the field of export promotion and service provision of export-oriented enterprises.
Representatives of "Kazinst" acquainted with the work carried out in 2019 on information support of exporters, presented the results of the country reviews of the system of technical regulation and export algorithms for five priority countries: China, Turkey, UAE, Iran and Germany, told about the possibilities of the Institute to provide consulting support to exporters.
"QazTrade" noted that today, based on the analysis of statistical indicators of trade and turnover, form proposals for priority export markets and the list of Kazakh products. In particular, the perspective types of products for export to the countries with which agreements on free trade zones within the EAEU have been concluded, which implies more favorable tariff conditions for exported Kazakh products: Vietnam, India, Egypt, Serbia, Singapore, Israel.
Also, the experts of" QazTrade " told about their plans to promote the export of domestic products in the framework of the developed program to accelerate exports.
The participants of the meeting agreed that it is necessary to unite efforts in support of Kazakhstan's exporters: "Kazinst" can provide expert support in the issues of non-tariff regulation of products in priority export markets, "QazTrade" is required to Orient, for which countries and types of products such expert support will be most in demand, for which countries it is necessary to continue analytical work in 2020.

The parties agreed on the participation of Kazinst in the work of QazTrade on export acceleration in terms of providing consulting services on the peculiarities of technical regulation, mandatory requirements of standards and gaining access to the markets of priority export countries for specific products.
