In order to prevent an unjustified increase in food prices in Atyrau, monitoring is being carried out

The regional akimat held a meeting on the topic "Preventing unjustified price increases for socially important food products," the regional communications service of Atyrau region reports.

The meeting, chaired by the first deputy akim of Atyrau region Serik Aidarbekov, was attended by Deputy akim of the region Kairat Nurlybayev, heads of departments and departments of agriculture, entrepreneurs and akims of districts in a selector mode.

According to Deputy akim of the region Kairat Nurlybayev, weekly monitoring and tracking of prices for 19 socially significant food products is carried out.

- Today there is a stabilization fund in the region to stabilize prices for 19 types of goods. Since last year, the Stabilization Fund has additionally started regulating prices for 14 types of goods," he said.

In addition, if there is an increase in prices for goods, a warning is issued to the seller and explanatory work is carried out. The reasons are investigated and cases of unjustified price increases are clarified. If the facts of collusion and price overstatement are revealed, measures are taken to bring the relevant regulatory authorities to justice.

It is worth noting that as a result of the work of the stabilization fund in the city of Atyrau, it was possible to maintain stable prices for bread of the 1st grade. In the region, in more than 60 outlets of "Daulet nan" LLP, the price of bread of the 1st grade does not exceed 90 tenge.

At the end of the meeting, heads of departments and akims of districts were given a number of instructions.

Entrepreneurs who sell socially significant food products are instructed not to raise prices, to organize work on the rational use of vegetable storages available in the region and the targeted use of warehouses.
