KazStandart has created conditions for increasing the competitiveness of domestic products

In 2021, the level of harmonization of Kazakhstan's national standards with international analogues reached 60%, but the application of standards in industry, services and trade remains an important task. To solve it, unprecedented measures have been taken in the country, even on a global scale.

Out of 9,315 national standards of Kazakhstan, 2,996 ST RK are not used in various sectors of the economy.

In this regard, the Ministry of Trade and Integration, RSE "KazStandart" last year created conditions for increasing the level of application of standards, supporting business and increasing the competitiveness of domestic products.

Thus, since February 1, 2021, Kazakhstan has applied a unique experience in providing gratuitous access to all current national standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan to all economic entities, which stimulated the reduction of business costs in the amount of more than 90 million tenge.

Since July 1, 2021, direct application of international, regional and foreign standards has been ensured, thereby reducing business costs by 7.5 billion tenge annually, reducing the burden on the budget, increasing the competitiveness of Kazakhstani goods in foreign markets.
