There are enough stocks of basic foodstuffs in the country. Currently, the Ministry of Trade, together with the akimats of the regions and retail facilities, ensures uninterrupted supply of food products to settlements.

In most regions, the operation of retail facilities inside settlements continues as normal according to schedules determined by local executive bodies. A number of facilities accept payments through payment banking systems.

In a number of localities, interruptions in the operation of some retail facilities affected by looting continue. Also, some retail facilities continue to remain closed in places where active anti-terrorist operations are still taking place.

The Ministry of Trade and the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition urge to prevent the creation of artificial hype and price speculation on basic foodstuffs, medicines and fuels and lubricants.

The Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition monitors the prices of products on a daily basis.
