Kazakhstan and Bashkortostan signed memoranda on mutual trade cooperation

On December 18, 2021, as part of the International Business Week-2021, a session was held in Ufa: "Kazakhstan - Bashkortostan from dialogue to action" with the participation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mamin A.U. and the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Khabirov R.F.
The business forum was attended by over 45 companies from the Bashkir side and 20 Kazakhstani companies.
The event was opened with welcoming speeches by the Heads of delegations, followed by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Bashkortostan Muratov R.H. and Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sultanov B.T. on the main points and prospects of bilateral cooperation.
Minister Sultanov B.T. in his speech noted the dynamic growth of trade turnover for 10 months (by 32.1% to $305.1 million).
He informed about the ongoing work to expand the nomenclature of mutual trade, the development of cooperation in agriculture, industry, energy, transport, innovation and new technologies.
One of the promising areas being worked out following the results of the September visit of the representative delegation of Bashkortostan to Kazakhstan is the project of cross-border cooperation "Eurasia", which will be formed on the territory of the West Kazakhstan region, in close proximity to Bashkortostan.
In addition, representatives of the business circles of the two countries spoke.
As a result of the event, 8 commercial and interdepartmental documents totaling $107 million were signed to implement the Roadmap for the development of bilateral Cooperation for 2022-2024.
- Agreement between JSC "Caustic" and JSC "Bashkir Soda Company" on the creation of a chemical cluster in Pavlodar $100 million;
- An agreement between Qazaq National Product Group and OrgNefteGaz LLC for the export of Kazakhstani engineering services in the amount of up to $5 million;
- An agreement between Almaty Cotton Factory LLP and Ufa Workwear Factory JSC for the supply of textile products in the amount of $94 thousand;
- Agreement between the Association of Halal Industry of Kazakhstan and the International Association of Islamic Business in the Russian Federation (IAIB) - cooperation in the field of certification and promotion of Halal products;
- An agreement between MCC Trade LLP and TD Zur Bazar LLC for the supply of seasonal fruit and vegetable products from the Republic of Kazakhstan in the amount of $1 million;
- Memorandum of Cooperation between the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology (KazStandart) and the Autonomous Non-profit organization Halal Industry Development Center of the Republic of Bashkortostan;
- Memorandum of Cooperation between the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology (KazStandart) and the Federal Budgetary Institution "State Regional Center for Standardization, Metrology and Testing in the Republic of Bashkortostan" (FBU "CSM of the Republic of Bashkortostan");
- An agreement of intent for the conclusion of contracts for the supply of goods between Adal AS Trade LLP and the leading retailer in Bashkortostan - the Bayram retail chain in the amount of $674 thousand.
