Exhibition in Shanghai brought contracts worth 100 million dollars to Kazakhstani business

 

The 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE) has completed its work in Shanghai.

For 6 days of the exhibition, it was attended by more than 480,000 visitors, including traders, manufacturing companies, retail chains in China and other countries.

During the exhibition, the Kazakhstan pavilion attracted attention with high-quality products of the agro-industrial complex.

26 Kazakhstani companies presented their products in the pavilion of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the assistance of JSC "Center for the Development of Trade Policy" QazTrade "(within the framework of service support for exporters).

During the exhibition, B2B negotiations were held between Chinese and Kazakh businesses in an online format and contacts were obtained for more than 100 importers: the exhibition was held in a hybrid format and involved the physical placement of product samples and remote participation of enterprises.

As a result of the exhibition, contracts were signed for the supply of such Kazakhstani goods to the PRC as: soybeans, corn, barley, flaxseed, rapeseed oil, wheat bran granules, beef meat, camel milk powder, etc.

The total amount of signed contracts exceeded USD 105 million.

A number of companies are continuing negotiations with potential Chinese buyers.

 

In total, during the 4th China International Import Expo, deals worth $ 70.72 billion were concluded, which is 2.6% less than last year.

281 companies from all over the world, including industry leaders from the Fortune 500 list, presented their products at the exhibition. More than 120 companies participated for the fourth time, 40 took part in the exhibition for the first time.

The largest exhibition area was dedicated to Agroprom products. More than 1200 companies from 102 countries of the world presented their products in this thematic section.

According to Sun Chenghai, Deputy General Director of the CIIE Bureau, the exhibition broke the record for the number of new product presentations: 422 new products, technologies and services, 135 of them in the exhibition area of ​​medical equipment and medical products.

According to the information organizers of the exhibition provided, 150,000 sq. m of exhibition space has already been reserved by various companies for the next year's exhibition.
