Modernization of 30% of testing laboratories is part of the national project

Today, on November 5, 2021, the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a briefing by the Minister of National Economy A. M. Irgaliev on explaining the implementation of national projects for sustainable economic growth, regional and business development.

Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Yerzhan Kazanbayev also took part in the briefing.

Within the framework of the national project "Sustainable economic growth aimed at improving the well-being of Kazakhstanis" (PP RK 730 of 12.10.21), modernization of 30% of the total number of testing laboratories is provided in Kazakhstan.

A number of comprehensive measures will be taken to achieve the indicator.

So, in 2021, a comprehensive plan was developed to create conditions for the modernization of the laboratory base, consisting of 2 directions (methodological identification of point "gaps" in the laboratory base and mechanisms for equipping the laboratory base).

The modernization of the laboratory base will contribute to the protection of the market from low-quality and unsafe products, including imported products, as well as the confident export of manufactured products to the Republic of Kazakhstan, since full-fledged tests that meet international requirements ensure due recognition by other countries.

To date, the number of accredited testing laboratories in Kazakhstan is 882.

Another activity is the maintenance of a register in the field of technical regulation and analysis of the state of the laboratory base for further modernization.

The register in the field of technical regulation is an integral part of the regulation, control and monitoring of the conformity assessment process. With the help of the register, authorized bodies have the opportunity to verify the accuracy of information on the work performed by conformity assessment bodies, the correctness of the issuance of documents.

This will allow you to have constant access to the results of conformity assessment work (accreditation subjects), provide the opportunity to check, monitor conformity assessment documents, analyze the development of areas, take measures to modernize the laboratory base.
