Bakhyt Sultanov : about the Export Acceleration - 2021 program

Friends! We have completed the selection of companies to participate in the Export Acceleration - 2021 Program.

This week, a list of 101 active export-oriented companies has been identified, whose products and services will be promoted to the markets of Russia, China, the UAE, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The selection process was long, complex and very thorough. More than 350 companies have applied to participate in the Program. Of these, only 61 were able to pass the selection in the direction of Central Asia and the Arab Emirates, the same tough casting was during the selection for the withdrawal of the markets of Russia (25 companies) and China (15 companies).

We were pleased that more and more domestic enterprises and service providers began to show interest in the Program. This means that today the domestic business feels ready to compete qualitatively with its products with analogues from other countries. But we are faced with the fact that some of those who want to focus on one-time deliveries of small batches – large or long-term contracts are impossible due to small production volumes. In any case, we "took on a pencil" all the companies that submitted applications and redirect them to interactive export training programs conducted by the operator of measures to support exporters, QazTrade (which, by the way, also implements an Export acceleration program).

Now learn more about the new Accelerator kit.

The bulk of the project participants are manufacturing enterprises (food industry, mechanical engineering, light industry and chemical industry). Also, for the first time, service companies (projects in education, transport, innovation, computer, engineering services) are invited to the Program. For about a fifth of the selected companies, the Accelerator will be the first export experience.

Of the hundreds of companies, one third belongs to the category of small business, and the same number – medium business. I am glad that this year entrepreneurs from almost all regions of Kazakhstan are represented in the Program. This means that the Accelerator has "entered the masses" and is in demand among businesses.

Now the companies will have to train and work on implementing the recommendations of our experts (by the way, they are not only Kazakhstani, but also foreign, having extensive knowledge of the selected markets and experience in promoting them). They are also expected to have many rounds of B2B negotiations with potential foreign partners, which will be selected by QazTrade for each company.

Work with graduates of the Program does not end with trainings, throughout the year QazTrade will continue to "lead by the hand" all companies, from trade negotiations to participation in trade missions.

I wish all the "Accelerator chicks" good luck in developing export markets, large long-term contracts and high foreign exchange earnings!
