Bakhyt Sultanov told how the payment for goods will be made through the social wallet application

In his speech at the Digital Bridge International Technology Forum, the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov spoke about the implementation of the Digital "social wallet" project of a citizen.

As the minister noted, the "social wallet" will simplify the procedures for calculating social payments, improve the processes of social support, as well as optimize budget expenditures.

Bakhyt Sultanov also spoke about the opening of a "social wallet" for citizens who will be created on the basis of their IIN and how payment for goods will be made through the application.

So, he said that activation will occur upon receipt of the appropriate social payment.

In addition, in the application, a citizen will be able to pay using a QR code or cash out social payments through a selected bank. And a citizen who uses a "social wallet" to pay for products needs to log in to the application and select the "QR payment" option.

After that, the seller provides a POS terminal with a QR code, the buyer scans this QR code from the application and confirms the payment.

Thus, payment for goods and services will be accepted through a unified QR code.

Recall that the pilot project "social wallet" is planned to be launched in December of this year.
