TCPС and QazTrade discussed with Ozon the increase of Kazakhstani goods on the site

  In the period from October 21-22 on the QazTrade platform and with the assistance of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Ozon marketplace meet with the expert staff of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as a number of state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On October 21st meetings were held with representatives of the Consumer Rights Protection Committee and the management of QazTrade. During the meeting, the Parties discussed practical issues of interaction in terms of protecting the rights of buyers, returning products, as well as bringing domestic producers to this site.

It should be noted that Ozon is a new market that provides tremendous opportunities for growth in sales and income, as the marketplace coverage exceeds 80 million users per month.

QazTrade General Director Azamat Askaruly noted that “ In June 2021, Kazakhstan companies got access to the Ozon platform. To date, 200 Kazakhstani entrepreneurs are registered on the platform”.

During the meeting, the parties discussed further plans to increase the number of Kazakhstani goods on the Ozon international trading platform. Also, the program included the meeting with the Technical Regulation Committee, the national operator for labeling by Kazakhtelecom and a number of government agencies.

It should also be noted that QazTrade provides information and consulting support to domestic businesses to enter international marketplaces. Since 2020, Kazakh companies, with the assistance of QazTrade, have received over 150 Gold Supplier accounts on the Alibaba platform and have completed export transactions worth about US $ 71 million.
