The management of JSC «QazTrade» took part in the 24th Kazakhstan International «Transport and Logistics» exhibition, which successfully started on October 13, 2021 in Almaty.
During one of the panel sessions of the III International Conference «Transport Market and Logistics», the General Director of JSC «QazTrade» Azamat Askaruly made a presentation on the topic «Development of Export Logistics».
The participants discussed the current state of export logistics, barriers and problems in promoting domestic exports to foreign markets, as well as the development of new logistics products aimed at solving transport export problems.
In particular, Azamat Askaruly noted the features of the transport and logistics system in Kazakhstan, including the advantage of our republic in terms of logistics in the markets of China, Central Asia, Iran, the Caucasus and Russia. At the same time, he announced a number of measures to improve the situation in this area. In particular, the head of «QazTrade» drew attention to the need for comprehensive measures to simplify export procedures, strengthen control over the import of goods without harming domestic producers.
In addition, he reported on projects to improve the sales of domestic products. So, according to him, in order to form a modern and efficient infrastructure for the sale of Kazakh products by the end of 2024, a project will be implemented for the phased construction of 24 wholesale distribution centers. They will become a link between the main participants in the commodity distribution system and will unite manufacturers, retailers and suppliers into one cluster. In the future, the national wholesale distribution centers network will be integrated with the global grocery hub, the speaker noted.
The creation of the International Center for Trade and Economic Cooperation «Central Asia» on the border with Uzbekistan, the commercial and industrial hub «Eurasia» in the West Kazakhstan region will also contribute to the increase in exports, Azamat Askaruly said. There are also plans for the development of agroexpress (agricultural trains) for the transportation of agricultural products. Together with JSC «KTZ Express», a logistics product has been developed for the delivery of groupage cargo to China in containers.
The conference participants also paid special attention to the export of small consignments of goods in the implementation of electronic commerce by Kazakh entrepreneurs, including projects implemented jointly with postal operators. For example, «QazTrade» together with JSC «Kazpost» is working on the issue of organizing postal exports and forming a database of demanded export goods. It is also proposed to implement a project on cooperation between JSC «QazTrade» and JSC «Kazpost» and JSC «Russian Post» to bring Kazakh companies to the fulfillment center of JSC «Russian Post» in Germany for the implementation of electronic commerce.
Note that «QazTrade» provides various support measures to manufacturers to increase the export potential of processed products, in particular, to reimburse transport costs. To date, transportation costs for the transportation of 700 thousand tons of finished products have been reimbursed. At the same time, most of the exports go to countries such as Afghanistan, Russia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The task has been set to expand the geography of export supplies.
At the same time, «QazTrade» provides assistance to domestic producers and to enter international electronic platforms, which attracted interest in Kazakh products from foreign buyers. Also, within the framework of the «Ready for Trade - Central Asia» project, work is underway to develop a national portal for trade facilitation, the speaker noted.
